-Tam's Tacos

This is one of our favorite quick meals.
This is also nice to serve at an informal gathering with family & friends.
I enjoy making a "taco bar" and letting guests build their own tacos.

Have Fun!!!

Tam's Tacos

1 pound lean ground beef
16 oz. jar Olde El Paso Taco Sauce Mild  (or 1.25 oz. pkg. Olde El Paso Taco seasoning-40% less sodium)
Bag of Tostitos Tortilla Chips Restaurant Style

Toppings
Tomatoes - chopped into small chunks
Sour cream
Bag of finely shredded lettuce
Bag of fancy shredded mild cheddar cheese  (or a Mexican blend if desired)
Can of sliced black olives, drained

Brown ground beef in skillet ... I try to break it apart, so you do not have big pieces ... helps it cook quicker and more thorough too.  Drain any fat off ground beef.  Mix the taco sauce with ground beef and let simmer for 5-10 minutes on low-medium heat.  If using the taco sauce in the jar, you may not need all of it ... you could reserve some for the taco bar if someone wanted more sauce.   Serve with Tortilla chips.  You could also serve with traditional taco shells, but we like the tortilla chips to change it up a bit.  This should serve 4 people.
