-Easy Meatloaf

I like Meat Loaf, but not when it's smothered in Ketchup.
This recipe has a little twist, steak sauce!
I'm not a big steak eater, so this is perfect for me.
This recipe may be a little plain to some, I have to keep my food pretty bland, sensitive tummy.
You can make it your own by adding onions, green peppers, mushrooms, more salt, more pepper, other seasonings, etc.
Make sure to get very lean ground beef.
My first time, I got the least expensive ground beef, and it was very greasy.
Another note, I like to use disposable gloves when working with meat and eggs.

Easy Meatloaf

- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt

-  ground black pepper to taste

- 1 egg

- 1 cup soft bread crumbs

- 1/2 cup milk

- 1/3 cup A1 Steaksauce  (or your favorite)

- Splash of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce (like a tablespoon maybe)

- Optional:  1 chopped onion

- Optional:  1/2 cup diced green bell pepper

Directions

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Lightly grease an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pan.

-In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, egg, and bread crumbs.  Mix well with hands, wear disposable gloves!
-Pour in the milk, steaksauce, and Worcestershire.  Mix together well. (Add optional ingredients here).
-Place the mixture into the loaf pan, and shape into a loaf. Brush the top with just a little Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce.

-Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until done.  Allow to stand 5 minutes before slicing.
